The word (marriage) is a relationship since the son's parents went to fetch the daughter. If the parents and daughters agreed upon the request of the parents, the son and the parents will both marry the two children according to Cambodian tradition.
Ancient Khmer weddings were arranged when people had plenty of time, money was enough, and their sons and daughters love to love their relatives and respect their ancestors, loving each other and caring for each other.
The marriage between a daughter and an old son is a matter of days. But in the 1940s to 1960s, the marriage took only three days.
In the three days, they have to spend a lot of money because if they get married in the village, they have to stop the fire. It means that the people in the village, both young and old, come to the aid of both men and women, and eat their husbands, wives and children. If there are more relatives or more people, more food is needed to meet the number of people.
